Orientation Explore ’25
The Chesapeake Watershed Semester’s seventh cohort has officially launched, and what an inspiring start it has been! Students kicked off the week at the Sultana Education Foundation, where they explored the ecological and cultural history of the Chesapeake Bay. With this grounding in place, the group headed west to Shenandoah National Park for their first field expedition.
In just a few short days, students have rafted down the Shenandoah River, chased waterfalls along mountain trails, and discovered salamanders in the park’s lush forests. Each adventure has offered hands-on opportunities to connect with the landscapes, waterways, and ecosystems that define our region. We can’t wait to see how this journey continues to unfold!
